Web Tech - Wordpress Security: Don't Panic!

I don't know about you, but I researched to find out what others were doing to keep their blog safe, and when I secured my WordPress site, I found information that I was completely confused. And some of the data was actually on superstitious or the top. People told me to rename this file, rename this folder and set up these ten plugins. It seemed to be quite a lot of energy and work.



Documents can easily get lost if you do not have good protection on your website. Some of those files may be saved in your computer and easily replaceable, but what about the rest of them? Where will you get them from again, if you lose the first time to them? Especially fix wordpress malware protection is vital. Many times, long-term sites have made a number of files and have a lot of data. Recreating all that are a nightmare, and not something any business owner would like to do.

This is great news as it means that there is a strong community of developers and users that could enhance the platform. However there is a group there will always be people who will try to take them down.

A snap to move - If, for some reason, you additional reading need to relocate your website, such as a domain name change or a new hosting company, having your files at your fingertips can save you oodles of time, hassle, and the demand for tech help.

What if you go to WP-Content/plugins, can you see that folder? If so, upload that blank Index.html file into that folder as well so people can't view what plugins you have. Someone can use this to get access because if your current version of WordPress is up to date, if you're using a plugin or an old plugin with a security hole.

But realize that security is. Don't only be the reactive type, take action to begin check that today protecting yourself. Don't let Joe the Hacker make your life miserable and turn all in creating come crashing down in a matter of seconds that you've worked so hard.
